Global Gathering 2006 festival announces lineup

The two-day Global Gathering 2006 festival announced Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk and Groove Armada as the confirmed headliners for its sixth edition at Long Marston Airfield in Warwickshire from July 28-29.

Daft Punk will play their first live UK show in over nine years and their only festival date of the summer in this country, while Fatboy Slim will perform one of his 3-D visual DJ sets. Groove Armada will be bussing in their full band to perform on the beach stage.

As in each edition, a broad range of DJs will be performing at the festival, including Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Sasha, Roni Size, Fergie, Deep Dish, Erick Morillo, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Pete Tong, John Digweed, Steve Lawler, Jeff Mills, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Lisa Lashes, Eric Prydz, and Plump DJs. Live acts playing at the event include Audio Bullys, Alloy Mental, BK and K90.

Global Gathering will be held throughout six arenas, with Radio One will again be broadcasting live from the site. Also there will be an Urban Village with skate ramps, BMX riders and graffiti artists, a fairground, a late-night lap dancing club and a cinema.

Weekend tickets are now on sale, priced £105 or £155 VIP (plus booking fee).
