Amsterdam welcomes at least 25.000 visitors from outside the Netherlands for the ADE and is also host to a number of international showcases. A tribute to Bob Moog:
ADE 2006 features a special program on Wednesday 18 October (one day before the conference starts) to commemorate synth pioneer Bob Moog, who passed away last year. Since his passing, artists from around the world joined forces to make a tribute CD with exclusive tracks dedicated to his pioneering work. An initiative of the ADE, Crème Organization & the Immaculate Conceptualists, the CD will be presented with a release party features live performances (expect lots of Moog - gear) by many of the featured artists.
Day program:
With speakers such as Pete Tong, Dave Clarke, Josh Wink, Erick E and Fedde le Grand the ADE day-time conference is a meeting place for the international electronic and dance scene, and is expected to sell out. Panel subjects are e.a. 'Games, Advertising & Electronic Music, Not For Kids', 'The Converse of Communication, the Evolution of Media', 'The Artist Debate' and 'The Digital Divide' Surrounded by 1800 professionals ADE is networking heaven for those who run the dance scene professionally.
