Fortdance 2007 in Russia

Now in its eighth year Russia's leading dance event FortDance returns to Fort Emperor Alexander I a purpose built island located in the Gulf Of Finland near St Petersberg. A suitably impressive venue for a suitably impressive event.

Featuring full-on festival production (state of the art light, sound & visuals) brought in especially to this unique venue the event features four arenas – one massive covered outdoor arena (house / electro / trance) and three indoor rooms (house / electro / techno) held within the incredible labyrinth of a venue, FortDance attracts the crème de la crème of Russia's most up for it party crowd and located 5km's away from land access is only available by boat or helicopter and in some cases clubbers have been known to swim the length just to be part of this incredible event!

This year's international line up features three of the world's leading DJs South American master Hernan Catteneo alongside house music's great Roger Sanchez and one of the largest figures in trance music Armin Van Buuren. Both Armin and Hernan will perform on the massive covered Main Stage alongside Hamburg's Moonbootica whilst Roger gets intimate in the House Room.

Boasting not one, but three live acts Brazil's Gui Borrato joins Rex The Dog live in the Techno Room located deep inside this cavernous venue whilst Russia's leading exponents of minimal SCSI-9 (Kompakt) join the Main Stage line up whilst Radio 1's Annie Mac takes control of Electro / Mash Up Arena alongside Southern Fried Records artist and former Wiseguy DJ Touche

Backing up this massive international line up we find the cream of Russia's DJ community including Alexander Nuzhdin, Grad, Volodoya Trapeznikov, Dmitry Bobrov, DJ Demidov, DJ Kefir, List, DJ Losev, Mike Spirit, Romeo and Spyder rocking the fort to its very foundations. Trust us, you will not find another party like this anywhere in the world.
