Thomas P. Heckmann - Tangents

The German label Bpitch Control brings in the forefront the artist Thomas P. Heckmann. DJ-ing for more than 20 years, Thomas released his first production in 1991 and from then he continued to produce electronic music; one of the most known labels where he released so far is Underground Resistance. The EP from Bpitch Control called 'Tangents' comes with three suitable tunes for the dance floor.

On the A side is Tangents, a driving tech-house, combining a melodic line pretty bizarre with a simple rhythm. This is maybe the best track from this package and points out some powerful minimal elements which combine them with an atmospheric sound, layered and effected. Medusa and Strobe make the B side, the first tune consisting of an abstract techno, filled with strange synths and an alert, fast rhythm. The second B side track is slower, it goes into a deeper side of electronic music and perfectly contours a wise made bass line.

Definitely a very good EP, especially the fist side. Techno lovers would appreciate 'Tangents' as a future techno and tech-house machine for the next few months, since the sound differs from a common one through some specific elements.
